I’m not great at accepting compliments. I don’t like to answer a compliment with another one because whatever I say will just sound forced. I can’t tell you I like your shoes after you tell me you like my shoes because what are the odds of me that being the case? Even if I do in fact like your shoes, I simply can’t tell you now. But you’ll look at me like you want a compliment back and I won’t give you one and everything will become awkward. In most cases, I’m just over thinking things and you don’t actually care, but awkward things happen very easily inside my head.

I was looking through the sketchbook of a kid in my psychology class today. He told me about how he draws the back of a girl’s head that sit’s in front of him everyday. That is so romantic and interesting to me. He didn’t see it that way. He just does it because he get’s bored and the girl’s hair changes a lot. I tried to get him to see the poetic aspect of it, but I don’t think he understood. Sounded like the beginning of a great love song to me.
